What We Become
Good reminder and strong warning to guard well what/who we worship. Scriptures seem to indicate that what we worship (the idols in our life: sex, money, power, relationships, love, fame, career) have the power to craft us…literally to shape the human heart into that thing. We become what we worship.
This is a good reminder to evaluate where my trust lies.
Psalm 135:18 Those who make them (idols) become like them, so do all who trust in them!
Michael and I met for discipleship today at Subway in the LES. He attempted to order this sandwich, and I had no choice but to shut it down.

WHY: Because food is awesome and summer is ending

Our youth ministry has just returned from their FIRST EVER Summer Camp. It was an historic event. Many of our students had never seen a forest, the mountains or a fresh creek. Beyond that, they had a blast on the slip and slide, dominating a new game called Gaga and devouring tons of awesome camp food! God also moved powerfully in the lives our students - many of them giving their lives to Jesus and surrendering to the Lord. Many of our prayers were answered as these young people have become new creations in Christ! Here’s a few photos from their time away.

Today more than fifty teens and leaders head off for the Poconos for Trinity Grace Church’s first ever summer camp.

Help Needy Families - Back To School
This summer we’ll partner with Graffiti Church and their community ministries to provide school supplies for underserved families in the East Village and Lower East Side. Below is a list of supplies that we’ll be collecting until August 28th. Please join us as we hope to practically serve and bring dignity to the families and children of our neighborhood.
Purchase supplies off the list and bring them with you to either the weekend worship gathering or the East Village church office (9 E 7th Street, 2nd Floor) during the month of August.
